I Wish. . .
- That I had always kept a detailed diary
- That I had always kept a copy of everything I have written
- That I had filed carefully the things I have kept
- Oh, and that papers kept in distant cupboards for many years didn't end up covered in dust
This all started with the simple thought that, since it's CRP's 30th anniversary year, I'd give a short account of the story so far. That;'s when the problems started. Although I know the general outline - and have told it many times in talks and sermons - when I came to try and put it together 'decently and in order' and particularly when I tried to put dates to different events I began to discover how random my memory is. So I have ransacked the cupboards. Hunted out diaries and papers. And now I'm beginning the task of trying to make sense of them. And also struggling with the issue of how much of all this stuff I keep and how much I throw away (sorry, recycle!).
I'm hoping this marks the start of regular blogging. So over the next few weeks watch out for the discoveries I'm making with a few other random thoughts thrown in.
